Beginning July 2nd, we’d like to invite to Weekly Wednesday Communion in the Chapel at Noon. At the annual conference, we emphasized the Eucharistic revival and the power of frequent communion.
Jesus commanded it—and it’s part of our true Methodist DNA, leading us into a Spirit-led, hopeful, and honest future. It is a significant and holy way to experience God’s grace.
Since then, Pastor Hungsu has celebrated communion every day using a portable set. One special moment: he visited a nursing home where some residents hadn’t received communion in years. Together, they prayed the Lord’s Prayer. It was a holy and unexpected blessing.
Another meaningful moment: a church member gifted him a special cup for her pastor—how kind and thoughtful of her!
If there is anyone in Buena Vista who would like to receive communion, please let Pastor Hungsu know—he’ll be right there.
There is no requirement of membership or baptism to receive this holy sacrament—only a yearning heart open to God’s love. Our Lord Jesus Christ invites all to his table.
May the Church be revived through the Holy Spirit and this movement of grace—just as John Wesley envisioned. Jesus said:
“As often as you do this, do it in remembrance of me.”
So, come as you are to the table!
